Observation

The first declined title — Seven Deadly — is drawn directly from Pope Gregory I's codification of the seven deadly sins, 590 CE. Gregory produced that framework as a Church governance tool: a classification system for human behavior that the institution could administer, measure, and adjudicate. It is Cartesian grammar operating four centuries before Descartes — labeled, categorized, bounded, administered — deployed in the service of institutional authority.

The fact that Seven Deadly presented itself as the natural container for a critique of the system it belongs to is itself a Lambda Speciation observation. The Church's classification grammar is sufficiently embedded in the cultural operating system that it surfaced spontaneously as the template for an artifact documenting the operations of that same system.

The author recognized the structural problem and declined the frame.

That recognition — and the declination — is the NFIE principle operating at the level of the title itself. No external framework pre-loading the reader's perception. No verdict before the evidence. The naming decision is a specimen of the artifact's own thesis.

The framework presents itself as the natural container. The mirror cannot be lied to. The mirror cannot distort. It can only reflect what is placed in front of it. The Seven Excuses.
